The MESH games are owned by MeshPro Sports LLC (Formerly EXA Properties LLC), Ames, Iowa.
The MESH game concept originated during the Covid pandemic. It all began when three company founders, like all other die-hard sports fans, were bemoaning the fact that no live sports were being shown. Yearning for some sports content, the three considered watching a few replay games. That idea was tossed aside because they would know the games' outcomes. That's when the Eureka moment struck!
What if there was a way to utilize the literally millions of hours of archived sports footage to make a new game with an unknown outcome? After just a few minutes of consideration, the amazing possibilities became clear and the MESH games were born! Entire tournaments could be built, teams could literally be made up of any collection of players, teams across different eras could play each other, and it could be applied to almost any sport!
After performing three in-depth patent searches, the founders decided to proceed with applying for a patent and licensing the intellectual property. (The MESH game patent issued in 2023.)
Early on, the founders realized more assets and skills would be necessary to bring the idea to fruition. As such, they brought in the late Jason Allen who had an unparalleled mind for sports creativity. He was followed shortly after by Brent Gantenbein who specializes in videography and marketing. Finally, Colleen Bradford Krantz joined our team. Colleen is an award-winning author, journalist and filmmaker bringing 20+ years of production experience.
Now that a patent has officially issued, we are actively looking at licensing opportunities with pro and college sports leagues as well as developing gamified apps. Discussions have been held at the highest levels of both college and pro sports leagues, and large-scale gaming and content companies with more discussions in the future.
